Marvin Homes started building custom homes in Cape Coral over four decades ago. Soon after, the need for quality construction helped us to expand into Fort Myers and the rest of Lee County. By the early 1990’s we were building luxury homes in Collier County and the City of Naples. We regularly have ongoing projects in all these areas. Currently we have a model in Parrot Cay, the custom home subdivision inside of Naples Reserve, and are proud to be a preferred Naples home builder within that community.

Caloosa Preserve is a beautiful riverfront community located just 25 minutes “upstream” from Fort Myers near Alva, and includes large one acre lots. The beauty of Caloosa Preserve is unparalleled. Huge oak trees with Spanish moss are sprinkled throughout the gated subdivision. It is not uncommon to find birds of prey eating their daily catch from the Caloosahatchee River. A private boat ramp and riverfront pavilion are available to all residents.
Each lot in Caloosa Preserve is at least an acre in size and most are either riverfront or on the many freshwater lakes that pepper the subdivision. We have built the majority of the homes in the subdivision.
One of the most unique subdivisions in Southwest Florida is the Funky Fish House Village. The Fish House lots extend into the water and the houses themselves are built on the water’s edge. The homes are up to four stories tall and can include sundecks extending over the water to the property line. There are very few properties where ownership rights allow an owner to park a boat under the back porch.

During the last 45 years, we have built in most areas of southwest Florida, including the barrier islands and for members of the Seminole Tribe in the Big Cypress Reservation. Fort Myers is the location of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates and is the oldest city in southwest Florida. The City of Palms is also undergoing a renewal — older homes are being torn down to make way for newer homes. The high cost of making structural changes and bringing an older house up to code make it less expensive to replace than to repair. Marvin Homes has been involved in many “tear downs” in Fort Myers and surrounding areas. Cape Coral is truly a boater’s paradise. The city is located on the northern shore of the Caloosahatchee River and includes over 400 miles of navigable waterways.
